Born in Chicago, Illinois, Ragan de la Rosa started, like many artists, drawing at an early age.  Growing up in the '80's, some of his earliest memories of drawing were that of characters from gi-joe, he-man, and nintendo video games. The 90's brought about his next group of influences...comic books. From comics, Ragan found more direction in his art, as narrative story telling became a new appreciation. However, much of his artistic training came from the Joe Kubert School for Cartoon and Graphic Art.

It was at the Kubert School where Ragan became more of a complete artist. He not only learned more about art outside of comics, but also about the important principles of design and composition. He also became better experienced with various mediums, from oils and acrylics, all the way to the computer programs of photoshop and illustrator. Along the way he found many of his current influences here as well. Artists such as John Singer Sargent, Joseph Clement Coll, Jeffrey Jones, Jorge Zafino, and Claire Wendling are just some of his inspirations in work.

Now a recent graduate of the Kubert School, Ragan currently resides in NJ. As a freelance illustrator, some of his clients include Felix the Cat comics, Lulu Laughalot Entertainment, Tusk Entertainment, and Tell-A-Graphics.
